This is the Door of No Return at Gorée Island in Senegal. Standing at the threshold of my ancestors and embracing this new year, I was gifted these reminders:
⏳We can never rewind time, but we can reclaim and heal from it.
⏳ Every single moment in time good, bad and in-between, gives us the strength to be who we were meant to be.
⏳Time is not isolated but defined by the choices we make in the past, present and future.
In 2023, let’s purposefully reclaim our time for ourselves, for each other and for future generations.
